The Solon de Lucena (Lagoa) park, in the centre of João Pessoa

The Solon de Lucena (Lagoa) park, in the centre of João Pessoa, will be transformed into a true fun park this coming Sunday (11) to celebrate Childrens Day. The event, which usually attracts over 30,000 participants has the full support of the The “Prefeitura Municipal of João Pessoa (PMJP)”

There will be presentations from Programa de Erradicação de Trabalho Infantil (PETI) (group against children working), marching bands of the Secretaria de Educação (Sedec) and a clown show from PIPI. All toys and play equipment will have free access.

Children will also be able to take part in chess games, all sorts of painting and writing activities while sweets will be distributed free. Over 800 workers from the Prefeitura will assist on the ground while the Superintendência de Transportes e Trânsito (STTrans) will be responsible for controlling the traffic in and out of Lagoa which will be closed from late Saturday night (10)
